Cuckoo Clock

I found this clock a few years ago during one of my organizing escapades at my Mom's house in her garage cabinet. I remember it hanging in our living room when I was a kid and being reminded many times to leave the clock chains alone. I have finally chosen a spot for it in my house and am trying to get it to work again. It just doesn't want to cuckoo or tell time on it's own yet; at least it looks good as it lazily sits there on the wall.

Grandpa Ed

Grandpa Ed Cox passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2008. He was 85 years young and sharp and strong enough to take on many more years. Ed was a Marine Pilot in WWII, worked for the Bureau of Land Management and also worked for the LDS church as a Cartographer. To be "on time" for Ed meant you arrived at least one hour early and he was also who to call first if there was any news to get out to the family. I remember: many parties at Robintino's, chats in his living room while he sat in his recliner, his fancy "red sports car walker", detailed stories from his past, singing There was a Forest Ranger and Johnny Verbeck, and a big smile welcoming you and his great-grandkids in for a visit. He was married 64 years to his sweetheart Jane, who has been a loving companion throughout his life. We will miss you and love you Grandpa Ed and look forward to chatting with you again.

TRAIN STATION-Closed for Business

Drew is the world's biggest lover of trains, so when I saw that there was a little train station museum near us we were excited to check it out. We have attempted to go numerous times and always found the museum locked and empty. On one of the unsuccessful visits, we finally found a sign posted in the museum window that said "Museum open Saturdays 10:00-2:00 pm." So, today being Saturday, we decided to check it out around 12:00 pm. and sadly the museum was still not open. We will try again and someday I just know they will let us in.

Reading with Grandma Moss

We were in Idaho over "Conference weekend". Here are the kiddies with Gma Moss. She always has a new fun book to read with the grandkids. We had a fun visit that included a few little parties and late night chats.
